that whole deal looks pretty hinky to me.  i gotta wonder how that seller goes from selling broken sunglasses and tron DVDs to a $10k "base" in  one leap. local pickup only.  hmmm...
Been down...now i'm out!

It might be a hinky deal, and if I didn't see it in a picture, I wouldn't believe it existed. So there are two 5-string 20th Anniversary basses. You seein' this Wayne?

So this ad is still active, (and I reckon it'll be there for a while at this price) it really isn't much for consideration here in the U.S. since only available for pickup in London.

Just for the sake of discussion about AM-107 here, the walnut and especially the headstock veneers are nearly identical to AM-106, a 4-string seen in the Showcase. http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=9209.0 I didn't think there were any other Anniversary Model 5-strings other than AM-008 a maple example that my Custom fretless borrowed heavily from. http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=9210.0

I foolishly got rid of my Anniversary model bass.    I wonder where it is now?   It's serial number was  89 AM PP 001.

You weren't too far off James... the 25th Anniversary basses did have sterling silver  :D

I contacted the guy, he send me some photos and vid, maybe I can post it tomorrow here.
The bass player's function, along with the drums, is to be the engine that drives the car... everything else is merely colours.
