Oooh man, why didn't they lower that neck p/u? And a thumb rest🙈

Incredibly tempting since I have a matching fretless 8 string.

Just listened to the video, the sound is amazing. Apart from the crackly pot it sounds fine to me.

Can anyone confirm what the top and back wood on this bass is? Looks like it may be Redwood.

Seller says Europe only.  Doesn't want to deal with paperwork.

Yes, it was the European sales only that totally deflated me. This bass is one additional string away from being my pearl of great value (I'd sell whatever I need to have that one bass).

How many graphite neck through Alembic basses are floating around out there anyway?

I would be happy to serve as middle man, will even test extremely thoroughly (may take many years) to make sure you'll receive it in optimal condition. :-)

The bass player's function, along with the drums, is to be the engine that drives the car... everything else is merely colours.

I think it's Bubinga front ave back , may be Mica can tells us more ?
Are all alembic with graphite necks Neck through or are there some that are set Neck ?
I know there's no Bolt-ons! Alembic hates Bolt-ons!
I heard that one Alembic employee was terminated because he had a Michael Bolton CD on his desk !
(I know..."Corny Joke" of the week !).

I was thinking the same based on color, but not so sure about the grain?

Bubinga is my first guess as well. The graphite basses are all _nearly_ neck through - there are varying lengths that extend into the body, but the graphite doesn't quite reach the inside of Omega cuts or the tips of Points, but I still sorta think of them as neck through in my mind.
