"Alembic" guitar on CL. Hey, the price is right!

Dodgy photo and tagline but if it's just pickups and electronics, it's worth buying at that price and flipping the body. I bought a guitar just for the alembic goodies inside and put them in my strat. Sold the body and effectively the pickups just cost me the petrol. :-)

It appears to be one of the "Texas pawn shop specials", as in very cheap Fender copies with the name "Alembic" in rub-on lettering (see the shot of the headstock). The seller is indeed in Texas. I would be surprised if the electronics are the genuine article.

I disagree--it's a genuinely cheap guitar, in the worst sense.

Would anyone really fall for that?
