I'd like to know too. The owner NEVER got back to me.

I just sent payment, so the bass should soon be back in California.  I'm looking forward to messing around with it as the only fretless instrument I have ever played was a violin on which I sort of learned how to play Fiddler on the Roof when I was around 11 and we put on the show in summer camp.

CONGRATULATIONS   Bill,

This one will be a nice  GROWLER  with that LOW B .

HOWEVER____!!!     When I had a 5 string I used to string it with a
HIGH C instead of The LOW B!!!   Check that out , you might like that tuning_

The bass arrived yesterday.  Not in the best shape.  As I posted in another thread, it's filthy, heavily tarnished, missing some screws, wrong screws, bubbling tuners, broken knob, and no strings on it.  But it is, after all, an Alembic.  I'll take some before pics tonight and hope to clean it up over the holidays.  Then I'll post before and after pics.

I think it's tuna from Boston, brought to a boil.

If it's not too expensive to bring it back you still got a good deal for $900. Enjoy and being a person also interested in originally buying this instrument I'd love to see the before and after photos. Also it's Christmas Eve so MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, it just needs a little love...
