The body is a variation on the Balance Point shape, which came before the Balance-K shape. This was the first attempt at improving the balance on a longer scale 5 or 6 string bass, staying close to the classic Alembic shape. Rumour has it it's a rather large body.


Looks to be in pretty excellent condition.

Yes indeed. Very large. For perspective, here she is in between two of my other basses.

I just finished making this recording using only The Alembic Custom 5 string mentioned in this thread. All tracks were recorded with the Bass except for the drums of course.
