I got a good chuckle out of that! God bless prog rock girls! They are more abundant than rumor would have it. ;D

Far more abundant than metal girls, for example.

Glad that all worked out! I love Distillates. My first Alembic was a long scale '86 that I bought from HAMMER (Brian) in 2014. Just an incredible instrument. I now have the '83 Distillate Exploiter that I bought from been down (Tim), and it has even slightly more tonal range than my first. This one is an absolute keeper and will be with me till the end.

And wow, I guess Rob is the go-to guy for pickups now. ;D  We're in the middle of a trade deal that will get me an AXY for my '83 Spoiler. Yes, the Club is great!

Tony Levin posted this to his FB page today. It's a parody on Progressive Rock by a long time attendee of his annual summer camps.

Ha! 😆

Only in a very roundabout way... Rob sent me a set of Novak Bisonics for one of my projects as a swap for a set of FatBoys... which replaced these AXY's in one of his projects. Or possibly those were my old FatBoys? Either way, they went to a very good home. And those Darkstars went in a Starfire bass project I gifted to an aspiring young bass player... still playing it.

100% true though... what the Club is for. 😎

I should note that those AXY pickups came to me from Greg, which is one of the great things about this club!

Took the bass to my gig tonight, and it was sublime.  I would rank it in the top three Alembics I have owned.  I brought my 5 also, but never even opened the gig bag to play it.  I could not put this Distillate down, and it just felt perfect all three sets.  A keeper for life.
