I have never ever seen anyone hang their bass like this.
I could see the bass cushioning the fall of the amp if it or the rig got knocked.  :-[ 8) ;D
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Ric's aren't known for being particularly bulletproof... I'd be worried.
Rig looks crazy loud tho so I like that

I wonder if it is a Motörhead cover band, if so that would explain the rig and the "devil may care" staging

Approve of hanging ones instrument such as shown in the photo below I do not . However ,simple logic and physics  seem to dictate ,that if the strap were to pass under the handle of the amplifier  securing it , rather then along side it , that such practice could avert the fruition of phoolery  and instrument destruction . 8)

I've actually seen worse... and within my own circle. Hey, it's job security for us shade-tree loothiers when these poorly thought-out stunts go wrong.

(here honey... hold muh beer... ka-rack!  ;D )

It kind of looks a little bit like they cut out the middle man and just replaced their bassist with a sentient Laney full stack.  If that is the case it makes perfect since.  Play-on Laney Kilmister...
