How bout a custom wood grain dashboard by alembic!

it's a thought. The MG owners club sell a very tasty walnut dash.

I thought the bugeye Sprite (sprint?) was an Austin-Healey. Were they related to MG?

And where does Sunbeam fit in here ?  Remember the Sunbeam Tiger   LOL ______

The MG Midget and the Austin Healy Sprite were, essentially, the same car with different trim.  Back in the day, (boy, does that sound old!), we referred to both of them as Spridgets.  Healy also made another version, the Bugeye Sprite with it's own, unique, body.  I had a 1961 Bugeye, the gutless wonder.  Loved that car.  Wish I had never sold it.  Of course it had electrcal problems as the electrics were by Lucas, Prince of Darkness.  (Why do they drink warm beer in England?  Lucas refrigerators!)  I just tore out the entire wiring harness (on the Bugeye it was only about eleven wires), and built a new one myself.  The turning signals were controlled by a 3-way toggle on the dash.  Click it to the left and the left turn signal flashed.  After turning you had to click it back to the middle, etc.  Looks like a fun project, Graeme.  I'll be looking forward to seeing her all back together.
 
Wolf:  Sunbeam made the Alpine and the Tiger.  The Tiger was, as I recall, an Alpine with something like a Mustang 289 in it.  Insane vehicle. Maxwell Smart drove a Sunbeam on the old Get Smart TV series.

Thanks Bill. I remember having been offered a Sunbeam  Tiger  
in around 1971 for $150.00 . It showed the signs of the times because it was covered in hand painted Haight- Ashbury Art. I did  not buy it
at the time because it had been in storage for a few years and the seller had no idea as to what was wrong and I was too young to have enough experience to fix it.

Bill. Contrary to popular opinion, we don't drink warm beer; we drink it at the correct temperature. You should come over for a visit sometime.
