I'm doing some historical research, and, in the United Mine Workers Journal from 1894, I've found stories posted from the town of Glen Campbell, PA.
Without a doubt, the second-coolest town name in PA........

Coz, I'll hit the link if you got one, but I swear if there's one peep about them Pennsyltuckian Cowboys digging for rhinestones... I'm cancelling your retirement.  ;D

*by the way, there is an extremely cool old guitar near where I am camped... I'll try to snap a picture of it. (you were the first person I thought of when I saw it last night)

Sorry. it was on microfilm, and the prof I'm researching for is working on IL stuff, so I didn't copy that one.  If I see it again I'll grab a shot.

I await the promised pic with baited breathe (that's what I get for eating worms).

Current population around 236, though it doesn't say how many of them are rhinestone cowboys.

"Intercourse, PA"?  Apparently it is "A Unique Amish Country Experience", and "If you love shopping – or at least love to look – you won't want to miss all that awaits you in Intercourse, PA."  I didn't realize that the Pennsylvania Dutch were that tongue-in-cheek.

I don't know if the company is still in business, but you used to be able to buy half a foot of land there and receive a framed certificate acknowledging that you owned "6 inches of Intercourse".

Finally found that guy again Coz... backstage, late last night. (as if you didn't know) This is a 1934 Gibson L-body "Century of Progress" guitar, in maple/spruce. It was 100% original, and sounded amazing. Coolest guitar I've seen in a good long while.   ;)

Sweet!  I've the reissue of a few years back, but never an original.
