Though he again claims Doug built Wolf, when we have it on the highest authority (Mrs. S. Wickersham her own self) that Wolf started as Alembic 72- (73?) 25.

Alembic guitars and basses, while they can be primarily built by one person, are not a one-person show. So I'm 100% sure that Doug did a majority of the woodworking on the guitar that was not called Wolf when it was made, but it was not built on his own time, and it was an official build, with a serial number and a logo when it was new. There isn't anyone that did every bit of building on a project - usually there are at least 3 people involved between the woodworking, hardware machining, inlays, finish, electronics, pickups, setup.
