With this being St. Patrick's day weekend and my b-day coming up in about 3 weeks, I just bought myself a present of off ebay - a 1977 Series I 12 string.  Ain't she a beaut:

Congrats Bill, she's a beauty.  St. Pat's Day is a major holiday around my house too! I bet Danny Boy would sound great on a 12 string.  Congrats again, many happy hours together.

Quite a nice buy, too. Series I six and 12-string guitars. Very nice. Is a Series I/II bass far behind?

David:

As my wife would be quick to second, a Series bass is VERY far behind at this point.  I'll probably pick one up just about the same time as Bush disbands the military and legalizes drugs, cloning, stem cell research, gay marriage, and offers free abortions!

I'm real excited about this one - looking forward to bringing it to the Northern Cali get together in two weeks (I should have it by then, I hope).

Congratulations Bill and happy birthday/St Patrick's Day.  I have yet to see an Alembic guitar in the wild.  I would love to hear one live before my time comes.

That's one heck of a headstock!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I'm guessing that the bridge has individual saddles for each string?  Should make cleaning the bridge that much more fun..... =)

Lovely guitar- I saw this one on eBay and also posted here on the forum and I thought you'd probably enjoy it a fair bit more than the Fender 12 you have.  Congratulations~
