There have been a handful of major events that stand out so very strongly in my mind.  Probably the first was when Ed Sullivan introduced the Beatles on TV.  Another was when I was riding to work with my carpool buddies and one of them saw a newspaper box with the headline that John had died.  I still remember how empty I felt.
