My new business partner brought in The Stranglers - Greatest Hits CD the other day.  I haven't heard 'No More Heroes' and 'Duchess' for years.
 
It's raised a question though as I've always really enjoyed Jean-Jacques Burnel's bass sound from the 'No More Heroes' and 'Raven' eras.
 
Question is - what is it he's playing? I seem to remember it's a Precision but I'll stand to be corrected.
 
Any input to this, anyone?

I think it's a Precision played with a pick and a little distortion, and a short Google session seems to confirm that...
