I posted my alembic classico for sale in here a couple of times at a good price-imho.
Since there was no response.. i decided to put it on ebay at what I think the bass is worth.
Here is a wonderful email i got from someone.
Am curious if this guy is on this website-if he is - ruck em

I think your used price is practically what you paid for it. You
cant price it among Alembics inflated prices in a deflated
ecomomy, sell your bmw first! Are you crazy! email me if you
are interested in a price drop. I have been an alembic player for
15 years and am well aware of what they used to cost. thanks,
with all due respect drive a hard bargain if you have to, just
remember, aint many people looking for one of these!

I had to eflaxinate him,. where do people come up with this crap?

elwoodblue

I agree,
...it's amazing people think they'll evoke a positive reaction with that kind of tone.

Best wishes on finding a good home for her.

No one is asking him to buy it so where is he coming from..

flaxattack

i did reply back with my personal thoughts and feelings and invited the guy to make an offer
still waiting

funkyjazzjunky

If I could afford it, I would buy it as it is a work of art.

They are known as 'bottom feeders'. I have a friend who does this with sailboats and he actually will get one every once in a while using this tactic. He will haggle for months first and if the sellor is desperate enough he sometimes will buy one for cheap. However, I'd tell this person where to get off if it were me.

Good luck,
Dave

boats are another story altogether dave
2 happiest days for a boat owner is
1- the day you buy.
2- the day you sell.
trust me- i been there on boats.

Definition of a boat:

A hole in the water into which you pour money

Having never owned a boat I guess it is the same as running a car except more expensive??
Like the analogy about 'hole in the water...'

svlilioukalani

JUST SAIL, THE WIND IS FREE!

flaxattack

its not the same as running a car
theres no shoulder to pull onto when you break down/
gas is usually a quarter or more higher than a gas station and you cant drive around shopping.
there are no lanes out there in the water so jerks will drive by closely and rattle and shake your boat in its wake. the mechanics got you by the balls.
lol
