Toby,

How are the move preparations going? Just moving across this country was enough of a headache for me. I can't imagine the complexities of moving to another country, or from there to here.

BTW, I took the Mrs. out for dinner to thank her for her efforts. The girl really has a heart of gold, and I'm lucky to have her.

Good luck,

Reid

Reid,

I've made the preliminary calls- I'll be setting things up with Brian most likely.  Should be working out the paperwork this week and will have general coverage (maternity excluded) until I start teaching in August.

Brian gave me the rundown on school districts and I'm pretty much set there.  Typically school districts are white elephants for insurance companies- because with schools, there is an aged work force and one that is very family/dependant rich.  Essentially, insurance companies don't normally hassle educator insurance like they do in other sectors- they realize that it's kind of a special case scenario.

Thanks to you and your wife again.  Good luck on the Elan eBay quest as well~

Toby

BTW: moving IS a hassle- but it's funny how it all falls into place when things are being done for the right reasons. =)  Sold my truck the other day for top dollar after a 1 day listing and we have multiple offers on our house WITH our dream settlement date.  All good in the 'hood!!

The lack of maternity coverage is a pain, but not insurmountable.  When the youngest was born, my new job's insurance started one week later (& they laid me off 2 weeks after that).  Made payments on the kid for 5 years, but he didn't get repossessed, & graduated college last week.
