That is some fantastic architecture!

Spectacular! 5 doors from our house and across the street, they have a summer Music At The Mansion program; it's cool (at least for one or two of the bands each year). but yours looks cooler!
Barbed wire was invented in DeKalb by Joseph Glidden; Jacob Haish & Isaac Ellwood got sort of comfortable manufacturing it - like, $7M/annum each when the average household income was under $400 comfortable.  This was Ellwood's house.

Jake and Elwood?

You mean the Blues Brothers?

David Houck

Rob; where is that?

I like that the crowd is properly social distanced.

OK, Dave, now I am thoroughly shamed that I've lived by that house 14 years and I never caught that.  Most excellent, Sir!

That looks like a pretty nice neighborhood Peter!

David, it's an estate now open to the public in Milton, MA.  A local jazz promoter, Mandorla Music, started doing small outdoor jazz performances there in late Late August/September when small public gatherings were permitted again in MA.  The last show for the season was Sunday.  Masks were mandatory, and as you can see the total number of people was kept low and wide spacing for seating was required.  Everyone cooperated and the music was great!  Nice setting too!

Well, the rest of the houses aren't quite up to that standard........

Not really 'scenery', but I seen this on my walk Monday evening. My neighbors have a funny sense of humor... no idea if they are Grateful Dead fans or not. Anyway, nothing like a good snicker when you need one.  ;D

It's hard to catch the moon just right. I was walking home the other night and it was so bright that I didn't need the flashlight app on my phone. There was a weird mist too, from a rain earlier in the day.

I will insert here, Greg, that I am a life-long solid proponent of "Close your eyes, turn off the light, count to ten; then open your eyes."

You will see a lot more without the light (assuming you're nor spelunking, of course).  I amazed 28 years worth of Boy Scouts with that.  Try it, you'll like it.

Gregory, the more I look at that picture the more I like it; and in fact I've just copied it onto my laptop.  Hope you don't mind.

It's beautifully framed, and the colors are magical.  I love the story that it tells.

I just realized 'd forgotten to click on the thumbnail!  In the immortal words of Mr. B. Bunny, "Watta maroon!".

Dave's right, Greg; it is a great picture!

I'm flattered you guys liked it... just one of those moments caught during an evening's 'sanity stroll' through Masons Cove. I text these pictures to myself to reduce the filesize for the Club. (so I don't always know how they will look on a fuller size screen)
