Sad to hear about Pete Traynor; those old amps are amazing! I still have a custom reverb head and it is pretty killer...his amps had features that no one does, and I don't know why, like red and green status lamps so you could tell from anywhere whether you were on standby or run, and some eras had the top panel of the amp removable with 4 bolts so it could be serviced without having to pull the chassis; why nobody does THAT I don't know...it's funny, but those old amps are only now getting good money on the used market; I guess since they were often 'the first amp' like Peavey they were just disregarded; silly people...Tony.

My first real bass amp was a Traynor stack.  It made me awesome!

The bass player in my long running band Stonetrout (25 years+) has always, and still, plays through a Traynor head.  I saw Traynors a lot more on the East Coast in the old days.  As John Cameron Swayze used to say about Timex, they seem to take a licking and keep on ticking.
