Bob Bogle of rock band The Ventures dies at 75,
co founder and lead guitarest

Those guys were the greatest. I remember playing  drums to my Ventures albums as a young boy. Thsy had some amazing talent and some really innovative sounds for the time.  More and more our old friends are leaving for the big musical encore in the sky.

When I was ten years old I took some guitar lessons, learning the basic chords.  There were two other students in the class, older and more advanced than me, and they were learning , which I thought was very cool.  So, for me, the Ventures were a very early influence.
