We've lost another one from the golden days of my youth.  Tim Bogert played bass for Vanilla Fudge and later went on to play with Beck, Bogert & Appice, and with Bob Weir in Kingfish and Bobby & the Midnites.

Well, that just sucks.  But I thought Torbert was the bassist for Kingfish throughout.

Black Cat Moan was my first introduction to Tim.

Big love to his friends and family.

I thought I saw Kingfish at the end and Bogert had replaced Torbert.  I think it was at the Keystone, Berkeley.  Maybe he was sitting in for Torbert just for the show?  Of course it's very possible that my old brain cells are a little scrambled and it was actually Bobby & the Midnites each time I saw him.   I know that I saw him with BATM at least once, as Billy Cobham was drumming.

The Fudge were an early favorite and influence.
