some time ago some of us had a problem where the username and password fields weren't being filled in. it would appear that this has happened again. For info I'm using IE8.0.6001.18702. Not a huge issue but I keep forgetting to fill in the fields before I press the submit button:-(

Hi Graeme; did this occur after an IE upgrade?

jacko

Nope - I've been IE 8 for some time. This only started middle of last week. I think my apology on the toxic woods thread was the first time I noticed it.
Thanks for the quick response.

Anybody else here using IE8, and if so are you having the same problem?

Anybody here notice a problem starting last week with other browsers?

Graeme, have you tried clearing your cache?

jacko

just have and still no joy

just for my understanding, Graeme: does this occur only when you start a new session, or does this happen within the same session ? I also use IE8, same release, and I didn't notice any inconveniences lately... but then, I am not much of a poster these days...

Reports are that the problem should now be fixed.  Let us know if you're still having problems.

jacko

Thanks dave. I'll give it a go.

Christian... it was happening after every post.

Logged out and back in and the fields are now being populated. Thanks for that.

It's amazing how many IT related problems can be resolved with the equivalent of, turning something off and back on again.

time to reboot for me,

Just wanted to point out that I had to log off the forum to bring Mica's fix in. Logging off in itself didn't fix the issue - tried that several times before reporting the problem.
