His accomplishments weren't limitless, but he provided a sound and cadence that became part of the rock bass lexicon and never left us.

SO___ true Bill !   He definitely made early entries into the rock  bass lexicon !  A little of his influence rubbed off on me as well . His bass motifs are here to stay _______

May he finally get to the Garden of Eden...

He played a Mosrite, some of the time.

If I am not mistaken there is a thread on this site showing an Alembic bass that was made for him at some point  .  I do believe that he did have that white Mosrite , but also at some time one of those clear lucite Ampeg bass's.

sonicus

OH yes ! Those clear lucite bass's were Ampeg  Dan Armstrong bass's.

I remember those lucite DA basses. They were the coolest.

I loved those Dan Amrstrong basses.... They were one of the first electric basses I ever saw and as a result they had a big impact on me. I finally got one a few years ago, but ultimately I found it unusable. Very uneven tone, and godawful heavy! I ended up selling it recently.... but I still think they are super cool looking!
