Jerry & Bobby's guitar straps?

Watching Shakedown Stream with another 1990 show (View from the Vault Vol. 1) and wondering - what kind of guitar straps are Bobby & Jerry using? Jerry's is blue, Bobby's is pink (nice match with the pastel blue polo) - looks like there's a section that attaches to the guitar, the strap itself clips on. I had something like that in the '90s, I think it was D'Addario...

(Sorry no Bobby pic...)

It looks like the name on the straps starts with a "W".   I'm thinking they may be neoprene bungee-like straps.   I think I still have one in black, though probably a different brand.

They were made by a company called Wand. Not sure they're still in business.

The closest strap out there today is the neoprene Comfort Strapp.

If you would like, Harry, I'll look around for my neoprene strap.  Once I find it, you are welcome to borrow it for a test drive to see how you bond with a bouncy strap.

Found it.   Call if you want to try it out.

I have one of these straps, very bouncy!  I ended up just using a regular leather strap, could not handle the guitar bounce.  :o
The only thing that stays the same is change.

I guess with Tiger weighing in at around 13 lbs, the bounce was significantly less.  :)

Wow, you guys are amazing! I don't think I need the bounce, I was just kind of fascinated that Jerry and Bobby were using the same strap. The clip was nostalgic for me - then, I was surprised to see John Mayer using a strap more like the one I remembered with Dead & Co., like this one:

Sorry to send y'all digging, I guess since I'm watching those '90s shows every week the strap thing was just getting to me. As usual I'm impressed with the knowledge and connections!

The one Mayer is wearing above looks like mine.   It's waiting for you Harry, whenever you want.

I had a look at some of those comfort padded straps a while back but I don't have a lot of confidence in any strap with plastic parts when using a heavy bass. or guitar.

Yes, my D'Addario strap that was kind of like the one in the pic of John Mayer had plastic clips - one end was bolted to the guitar so you could unclip the strap, I guess to be able to switch instruments? I let a friend whose band was opening for us use my bass, he was crazier on stage than me, and he broke the clip! I can't remember if I had to play a set sitting down after that or what, it was 25 years ago...

Agreed I taped the heck out of those clips, another reason I stopped using that strap.

I'll send mine to you too Harry, then you can try both!  Shoot me a pm.

I bought a couple of Comfort bass straps but discovered that I much preferred the Moody 4" straps for a heavy instrument.
