Since winter just ended here (I go by what it looks like, not what some artificial calendar tells me!), happy solstice indeed.
 
Thankfully, though, the big shiny thing in the sky didn't decide to come out until I:
 
Moved 15 yards of topsoil
Planted dozens of plants, two dozen thujas and a few 7' cedars.
Put in 340 ft2 of sod (and I now know why our British friends use sod as a curseword)
 
Better to do that stuff when it's overcast and nasty.  Then what happened?  The sun came out! Bonus!
