My oldest daughter and her husband stopped by yesterday to inform Rene and I that we are going to be grandparents. The doctor still has to pin down an estimated delivery time frame but it will be sometime around next April or May. Not sure if I'm ready for this but then again you never really are.

Congratulations Keith. Ours are a joy and I'm sure yours will be too. It'll change your life.

Congratulations Keith!  That is quite the blessing.

Adding my Congratulations, Keith.  :)

Yea, Congrats!  (It's definitely an eye opener, when it happens.  You'll have to first decide what you want to be called...!)
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Congratulations, grand-kids are the best (or maybe watching our children learn parenting is the best...).
Find a fun name for yourself - my wife and I are FarmPa and FarmMa since we bought the farm.

Congratulations!  We just got back from spending a week with grandsons 1 & 2 (#4 will being making his appearance momentarily); I kind of gulped at the thought at first, too, but I can assure you, grandkids are better than kids by far!

Thanks for the good thoughts.

Peter, My daughter lives at what I consider an ideal distance of about an hour away. Close enough to not make visiting a chore but far enough people just don't pop in unannounced (works both ways).

Congratulations! We have two: a 3-year old grand daughter and a little guy who's only 3-months old.  It's great to see the kids, play with them, take care of them BUT...be able to hand them back to their parents when the time is right.

P.S.  It's also great to see our daughter having to deal to the same highly self-determined, headstrong 3-year old that we needed to parent when she was that age.

Congratulations Keith wonderful news.

We have been fortunate enough to have our 2 grandsons (4 yo and 9 yo) visiting us in Australia for the past 3 weeks.
My son married his high school sweetheart while we were living in the Bay area back in 2000.
We all moved back to Oz and then they made the announcement they were moving back to San Jose 2013.
I had not seen the boys for over 2 years and wow! they grow up fast.

Savour every precious moment you can have with the little ones. It does not last all that long.

I hope the time up to the birth is trouble free and the delivery goes without a hitch.

The circle of life! Congratulations all round.

I'm pleased to report that #2 (turned 2 in July) is more than sufficiently active & energetic to get my revenge on his father!

Congratulations, Keith on the impending Series III ( is that acceptable Alembic lingo for grand children)?

My son is 5 and a half and it's puzzling seeing my very strict Mum indulging him with all she told me was bad for me.😂

Congrats! At 56 with a 5 year old, I'm not sure I'll last that long, but it sure is nice to live vicariously through all of you!
