Twenty-five years ago today I was awoken by a phone call from a friend with the sad news about Jerry.   Wow, has 25 years gone fast!   I'll be listening to some JGB and Dead today.

Miss you, Jerry.

Hard to believe it has been a quarter century already. I was in a daze all day after hearing of Jerry's passing, grief had to wait until the numb feeling left. August is always a tough month for me since my mother died of cancer two weeks after Jerry passed. Time for some JGB, Dead and reflection to celebrate Jerry's time on the planet.

Eternally missing Jerry...

Yeah. How could it possibly have been 25 years? Funny how you remember where you were... it was the 2nd week of August, so I was at the Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax, Virginia. The sudden, tragic news spread through the musician's campground like wildfire. Musical tributes ensued from fence-to-fence, 20-some acres' worth.

I heard it on WXRT while driving my truck; it was not easy finishing that run......
