Happy Thanksgiving! This American holiday is not just turkey and cranberry sauce, it an opportunity to pause and express gratitude. There are so many things I am thankful for, starting with my amazing family. Then this Alembic adventure we are all on together. But this Thanksgiving in particular is special to me as one year ago I brought my mom home from the hospital and thanks to her fantastic surgical team she is here with us and remains cancer free.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today and tomorrow. We will all be back at the shop on Monday.

I'm continually Thankful for this little Internet community, and especially the fine folks that host it, binding us together in a common thread.

Safe travels, all of you who are on the road or in the air this weekend.  ;)

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  You are theeeee best.
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

A healthy and happy Thanksgiving to all my good friends in this little corner of the cyber world.  We're going to eat much too much food and watch a Godfather marathon - we're trying to make it through all three.  With all the food I'm preparing, I think we just may have the recipe to spend the whole day and early evening plastered to the couch.  And not one minute of football!

I do hope everyone over your side of the pond had a great day and took time to reflect on things you do have to be thankful for. I received a nice thought from  James Taylor dot com which I'll share with you..

"Sometimes we suffer setbacks. And if these reversals of fortune are deeply important to us, the loss can be a source of real grief. Recovery takes time and we should allow ourselves time to grieve. But what eventually seems to help most is to take a regular moment to give thanks. To whom we give it is a big question but just go ahead on and do it. Gratitude is the way to an improved attitude, dude. Scientists tell us that it is likely, even inevitable, that there are other worlds in the cosmos which, like our own, would support life. But they are so rare and far apart that it's a long shot we'll ever be in touch... To have been born in human form and consciousness aboard this unbelievably beneficent planet is an incredible stroke of luck. Dig it...

Awesome graeme!
I'm thankful the store was open. What a thrill it is to exist and be able to buy whole bean coffee.

If only the dump was open  ???

Graeme, that is truly a post to be thankful for.  Being reminded of that is important; as it can be easy to slip into a self-pity mode and wallow in the mire of the heart breaking events in our lives.

With that being said, I am also thankful that my wife couldn't find any cloves and substituted star anise in the cranberries last night . . . .  Oooooh weeeee! Delicious.

Here's a belated wish for a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving to all. Just finished unloading the trailer, caravan for you folks in the EU, having spent the last four days camping and hiking with my wife Rene at Medoc Mountain State Park. We were fortunate that there was still a fair amount of color in the trees which made for nice walks along the river.

Keith; and you didn't even have to drive all that far.
