I just noticed that the section near the top of the opening page where I can click to see new posts since my last visit is no longer there!   Did something change or is there a problem on my end?  Did I unknowingly click on something that made it go away?

It is still there in the same place for me... not sure what is up on your end.

Looks the same as usual on my mobile Bill... did you click on one of the + or - signs above the section? I've done that before.

I hope you get it to work again, Bill.  I actually never knew about clicking on that, pretty cool quick way to target new posts!

I just discovered that (at least on my iPad) in the very uppermost right hand corner it says "Visit alembicguitars.net" with a ghost arrow to the right.   Clicking the ghost arrow makes the "show unread posts, etc." section disappear and reappear!   

O.K., time to dial in the Beat Club show from 1972 on the Grateful Dead Channel on youtube which starts soon.
