Oh man... I was just reading about him yesterday... he sat in on bass for a couple shows with TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) a few years ago.

2016 sure has been a tough year, and I still haven't gotten over losing Chris Squire in 2015. Now both of my 8-string bass idols/influences are gone. If there is an afterlife, I hope it's good for you, Greg. RIP.

Truly a sad day for music. Greg Lake was a huge influence on me, and was my introduction to Alembic guitars and basses, which I fell in love with at a concert in the 70's. RIP

Just saw the headline.  A major influence for me; the first King Crimson album and Tarkus are still, for me, revered works.

I was just singing I Believe In Father Christmas several days ago . . . .  that cursed cancer claims another . . .

We are fortunate to have lived in a time of such brilliant, innovative individuals, may they rest in peace.  And to their families and friends healing thoughts.

The voice, guitar and bass behind my favorite group of all time.

Definitely a major factor to the Alembic community. Greg Lake playing an Alembic, and amazing combination. RIP

I loved all his stuff, but most of all, his work with King Crimson and E.L.P.  Greg, you're going to be missed.  R.I.P....

RIP  Mr. Greg Lake

I think, many Alembic fans here are led by the performance with the sounds of his Scorpion 8 strings bass.

I'm still a "Lucky Man" when I got my Scorpion 8.

Greg Lake playing a Scorpion 8 probably drew a number of us to Alembic. A definite bucket list item. I am sure a lot of us would would be Q'ing up if it were offered again. Mica, any thoughts of a tribute bass?
