yesterdays (5-8-03)F4 tornado that hit Moore Oklahoma missed me by 500 feet,I did have some damage but minor, I still have a house, and all basses and amp have been accounted for. 4 years ago the baddest tornado of all time(5-3-99) missed me by 4 blocks, and on 10-4-98 a small tornado went right over my house and took out some of my trees, thats three in 5 years, I THINK I'M ABOUT READY TO MOVE BACK TO CALIF. AND DODGE EARTHQUAKES

Wow. I guess I'll stop complaining about ice and snow here in New England. It is very rare when a tornado hits this region. When it does it's small and over very quickly.

I guess it's called Tornado Alley for a reason...

At least you and your loved ones were spared again. You have a bit of luck working for you.

Hey David,

I've dodged my fair share of earthquakes when I lived in So.Cal. (Whittier and Northridge quakes)
I think I'd rather dodge an earthquake than a twister any day.
Glad to hear you and the family are okay!!!

Paul - Alaska's nice but too darn cold!!!

I am HAPPY to report that all 4 alembic's in Moore Okla are Fine.

this is David T reporting from Moore Oklahoma, the Alembic capitol of the world (percapita)

Nothing like the severity of the tornados in your area David, but we're not immune from them - yesterday a touchdown was reported over the Sacramento Valley. I guess where ever you choose to live you have at least one natural force to condend with.

Glad to hear you safely made it through the latest.

I think I saw an extensive documentary on the 1999 Oklahoma City ( and suburbs) tornado; that was truly scary, an F5, if I remember correctly. Glad you came through ok all 3 times, David.

You're absolutely right - even here in Poland, in our dull climate, we have to deal with some of these - namely we have a flood every second summer or so.

David - I'm glad to know that you, your family and your beloved Alembics were left untouched by the tornado!

well I've been through Calif. earthquakes and I will take  Okla. Tornado's any day, the fact that we have the best weathermen  and stormchaser's in the world we had a 21 min warning to get ready,if I remember correct there was no warning for earthquakes, I need time to get READY !!!!

Valentino, that F5 tornado was 1 mile wide when it went by 5 block to the north of me and that's where the Nat. Weather Service clocked the wind at 318 mph and the sound was like a 747 jet setting on top of the cellar with all four engines running full blast, and yes that documentary you spoke of I've seen many times, and it still brings tears to my eyes and scare's the hell of me all at the same time.

and basstard, I've stood at the foot of MT. ST. Helens and you can keep your Volcanos too!!!!!

but I thank all of you for the kind words
David T

basstard

David - what volcanoes are you talking about? There are no volcanoes in Poland, as far as I know... ;-)

Jarek, sorry about that, I had you in Portland Or, not Poland, but I bet you have some kind of nasty weather in Poland, but Thank for the kind words.

PS;  my wife and I would love to visit tour country, and some day we will.

basstard

That would be cool! We have some nice stuff to see - not much, but pretty nice nonetheless. You should DEFINITELY visit Cracow - one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. Myself, I live in Warsaw, but I visit Cracow just about every summer.

if anyone wants to see the Tornado damage of the GM plant go here!!!!

Well ...we don't realize this kind of things over here, it's beyond any knowledge and experience.
I don't see any David, no family and no Alembic hanging in the fences!
Indeed you GOT lucky.
Good to have you -and your family- still here Brother!

alembic76407

I saw on the news that Santa Rosa had a earthquake the other day, I hope that all's ok at Alembic, and everyone's nerves are doing fine.
