I have some ongoing projects to share.  For now I had to rest the arms because this rosewood is sooo dang hard ! I've been at it over an hour with 60 and 80 grits and it's maybe two thirds there. I even screwed the radius block to my 1/4 sheet sander, worked great for two minutes, but the plastic threads in the sander heated and failed. I am back to good ol' elbow grease while meditating on playing this soon to be 30" scale 6 string instrument. The neck is a cocobolo ,that's gonna be another workout to carve and sand. The body is a single chunk of mango(pics soon).  

  ...just a little more...

   I've thought about making it fretless because...the Grain!  It's gonna get frets, I'll play it much more.

   I'll post progress pics , stayed tuned ;) elwood

Sometimes when shaping the profile of an upright fingerboard, particularly for cutting an E bevel, I will use a (handheld) electric planer for the bull-work. Looks like you're beyond that though... pretty piece of treewood you got there!
