I just noticed there's a free ebook at Amazon from/about the Grateful Dead.  I just downloaded it, and haven't read it yet; but the reviews suggest this is a compilation of the introductions to the GD studio album boxed sets, though the estimated length is 134 pages.  But so far the best part is it's free.
