Test link: (looks the same)

Weird... Jazzyvee's link works on my mobile but not on my work desktop, but my test link seems to work on both now.

And just to add - EEEEEK!!!

keith_h

It's working now. Weird.

Ouch. It looks like a clean break at the scarf joint and should be pretty straight forward to fix. The only real decision is does the owner wants to replace the veneer or are they ok with being reminded of the damage?

A reminder of the damage would be a reminder of my favorite phrase . . . "The safest place for a bass is in it's case."

Good to see many of our club members giving good advice on that thread.  Beautiful instrument.

Kinda looks like an Elan series one
I was trying not to concentrate on that as Elans are too close to my heart. :-)
I would send it back to mica and have a proper elan replacement headstock put on it.

I love headless basses, I wouldn't mind use this as a project for a new design. There you go, I said it  :-X  ::)

I have not seen too many Elan series basses (actually, none before). I wonder if they had to be made thicker to make one?
