I just bought an Eden World Tour 800 & SF-2 & while mounting them in my rack & hooking them up, I decided to take some extra time to organize the cable routing & get rid of the wadded mess of cables I had with my old amp. After doing this, I thought it would be interesting to see how many people take the time to have clean & tidy rigs VS just hooking them up & cramming the cables in the open space. So how about it Alembicians, we've all seen pictures of the front of your rigs, who dares to expose your backside in all of it's glory or confusion, whatever the case may be?! "Hi, my name is Rusty & I'm a reformed cable slob!" Hooking up the mic cable to the D.I. on my old rig was like cramming your hand into a haystack looking for a jack that was buried in the hay! Here's the new & much improved rig -

impressive...I like the little clips.
My gigging bass rack stays pretty organized,
my home rack is a haystack as you say...I am always changing things, given at home there are drums synths ,guitar synths , guitars , basses ,and vocal mikes to contend with.

I do run all the power on one side and the signals on the other as a rule.

I'll see if I can put modesty aside for a picture : )

good thread subject

Thanks elwoodblue! I used to work in the cable TV industry & we used these plastic clips to attach the cable to houses. They discontinued using them & threw cases of them away, so I grabbed a couple of boxes thinking they might come in handy one day. 30 years later I have finally found some use for them!

The flatheads do have a retro vibe
I imagine you use a  3/8 driver though.
(I wish I had discovered squaredrive screws a few decades earlier,I'm only now seeing the light )

Actually I had to use a 5/16 box end wrench because the screws were too close to my amp & I didn't want to scratch the amp using a screwdriver or ratchet. The screws are just wood screws but are plenty tight to hold the cable clips.

Beautifily done, Rusty!  Now, just shorten those power cords & it'll be perfect.......
I, too, am digging the clips; well saved!

Thanks Peter! Yeah, I hate the wad of extra power wires, but I hate to cut them off too.

Rusty, yeah - I've got a problem with cables... Just yesterday, I asked Mica to measure the center-to-center jacks on my build so that I could get my cables prep'd before the guitar's arrival.
I'll get some pictures of my rack up here one of these days, so I can join in the fun!

Well, now,  this has inspired me to do some looking; if the non-wart cords are detachable, how about  1-foot replacements?  Not bad at $4.99 per.

Cool Peter! Thanks! I'm getting rid of one of the power cords, I had the DBX 31 Band EQ for my Rickenbacker & Jazz bass to boost them up to match my Alembic, but now with the SF-2, I just switch from high pass to low pass on the high channel & turn the gain on the amp up from 11:00 to 12:00 & they sound great! The 31 band was noisy with the new setup, so I'm retiring it.
