Do you ever feel sorry for guitar players because the bass player has a better looking instrument (i.e. girlfriend)?   Everyone has a Les Paul or Fender Strat - but an Alembic Bass --------> we have the edge on this one  :o)

I've seen some VERY sexy Alembic guitars too!
 
FYI the most popular Bass in history and still the best selling is the Fender Jazz.  Everybody I know has or has had one (or several) at some time.

Yep some very sexy ones. Stephen I think it's an interesting point you make. However,if you are holding the guitar that gives you the sound you want you won't be remotely affected that the bass player has a beautiful instrument. Only if he can't play   :-)
 
I think if I turned up at a gig with my dragon magic guitar I'd still have the visual edge over quite a few alembic basses.

I'll put it to you like this .....the tip jar sits in front of my Bass rig cause the sound of my alembic is pimping the whole audience!........so therefore i feel sorry for the whole band!
