I couldn't pass this up when a friend offered it for sale.
BEADGCFBfEf. Just had the frets filed (along with a custom Excel 5 of mine) by Phil D'Angelo of Fairlawn NJ. Got some stretching to do!

I would love to see/hear this in action.

That's what I call a B.F.B.

For those times when a seven string spoiler just isn't enough.
:-)
What scale length is it?
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

I don't know what to say, but I can't just say nothing... hmmm.

My granddaddy used to say whut th' dum-goozle izzat?! (it's an old North Carolina  thang)

I've worked on, and built musical instruments for almost 30 years now, and people's imagination on display still amazes me. Wow, what an undertaking that must have been! And quite a result!

35 scale. It sounds very full in tone. Neck is pretty thin and not too difficult to get around on. It need fret work and a set up. The make is Tanatos. They make 7 strings mostly and extra fret guitars. This one is a bolt on but the others are neck thru.

Susan was kind enough to make the Skylark available to me when another one with an amber finish was just sold. This happened when I had a custom in the works and had a major GAS attack. I convinced myself that I should have an Alembic geetar in my stable to go with the basses. It is a fine instrument and the neck is extremely comfortable .

This is a super strat with a  Moses graphite wizard neck and Alembic pups and guts. Pick guard wired in Santa Rosa

How do you like the Moses neck?  I recently put together an old Modulus neck, custom Warmoth body, and Alembic strat set with added Q.  I have to say I love the Modulus neck and am thinking about another graphite neck build.  The Moses fiber-optic option looks very cool.

I have strats with both, I prefer the Modulus though they are both easy to play. The Moses necks have a foam core, I like the extra mass of the Modulus.

This Moses has a Ibanez Wizard profile. Very thin and very comfortable. I should have gone for the optics option. Maybe in the future for another GAS attack.

I have 2 Status Mark King basses and I love them.
