Best storyteller ever. Sad to hear about his passing

Oh, man.

When I was a teenager, and didn't want to hear about much of anything but rock'n'roll, and my redneck big brother was all about Nashville, Tom T. was the one artist we agreed on.  Serious bummer.

Peter (who has been known to cover "Pamela Brown")
"Is not Hypnocracy no other than the aspiration to discover the meaning of Hypnocracy?  Have you heard the one about the yellow dog yet?"
St. Dilbert

"If I could explain it in prose, I wouldn't have had to write the song."

Pure Genius.  A good many of the songs Tom T. and Dixie Hall wrote carried right over into bluegrass and oldtyme music I grew up playing.
