Hello all,


I want to use this section of the Alembic-Club to introduce myself. Actually I joined the Club already in 2004 (the time I purchased my first alembic) but when you´re self-employed it´s tricky to find enough time for music.

During the late 80´s and early 90´s I tried to play bass professionally and I also lived from music for a number of years. I gave up bass playing but still kept some instruments and around 2004-2006 I played again for a while in a bigband.

Attached is an image of the late 80´s where I was playing headless (before my love affair with Alembic started).

With my very small hands bass playing was always a hard Job, which became easier when I´ll purchased a SJ Standard in 2004. Really, this was perfect for me... ...the only short scale bass that sounds really good (except of course all other short scale alembics  ).

I kept this bass over the years and now, after moving to a new place, I have all my old basses brought out again to be played every day...

Actually I can attach an image that a friend of mine took February this year, before everything was shutdown because of that virus.

It´s the same file I use for my avatar at the moment, showing some of my basses...

As soon as I got some new pics I will post them.
