Welcome to the Alembic Club! (again!)  :)

Keith is 100% right, doubling the measurement from nut to 12th fret is the most accurate way to determine scale length, but your bass is most assuredly a 28" scale (originally piccolo-tuned) Custom. Here is another 28" scale Custom Alembic made for standard pitch tuning- http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=7466.75

I couldn't remember when I posted if the nut to bridge in longer or shorter than the nut to 12th fret. I've just done the nut to 12th fret automatically for so long I don't normally think about it. After your post I did a quick check on my small body Alembics and found they measure long when going from the nut to the bridge.

I see dgansz has since measured and it looks like the measurement would be 14 inches so 28 it is. Not common as I only recall one other bass in 28 inch scale and that was one for a player in Hawaii some years back. In any event it is great looking and I'm sure great sounding bass.

Oh my, what a GAS... now I need to get one of these, too!
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!
