Tonight my band Yovee will be playing at the Calypso in Encinitas. It's a cool local spot with a ton of style. I'll be playing my new Elan five string for the first time. The band recorded a couple of albums before I joined, their original bass player played an Alembic too, kinda cool...

There is nothing like the first gig with a new Alembic! The first time I played mine live my drummer commented that he heard notes that he had never heard me play even though I was playing the exact same parts! Our soundman is a professional sound man running huge arrays at arenas & he said it was the best bass sound he had ever heard! Have a great gig & enjoy your moment!

Apparently the original bass player played an SC Standard.

Yup - that's the one! Thank you, I wasn't sure which model he played...
