In a different thread you mentioned a US tour.  Please keep us update when that will be happening.
Thanks

Absolutely i will post when i get confirmation of the tour and some dates. I think the last one i did was just a weekend trip in 2006 playing guitar for Apache Indian. With a couple of dates for Bob Marley day in universal studios Florida. Hopefully it will be safe to bring an alembic.

Jazzy, we've been hearing radio ads here for the SoCal shows.  I think you're going to have a BLAST touring with all those great bands.  Lots of talented musicians and fun music.  But then, I was active in that era so...  Best of luck with the run.  Please be vigilant about health precautions as that's the trickiest part of touring these days...

Thanks Jimmy, whenever i've been touring, the USA is the only place where i definitely put on noticeable weight. Even though back then i was on a non meat diet. It was pretty difficult to get appropriate food on random stops on the road.

Hopefully there will be some organic food places as i have been told they are the only big stores where you can guarantee to get non GM food. I think the place i went to last time I was in the states, graciously hosted by Bill tgo,  was Trader Joes which was close by.

Hopefully there will be a NorCal date and we can get some of us together for a little party?

I thought I initially saw many more dates for that tour all around the country but the website only shows me the Greek Theater and the Anaheim shows.  Maybe because it knows I'm in LA?  How much of that tour has been confirmed from your side?

Anyway, I wasn't even talking about eating on the road - which is always a challenge.  Yes, Trader Joes is still a good bet and they're in many cities now.  Whole Foods - now owned by Amazon - is the more expensive version but also all over the country.  I'd say in recent years the availability of healthier food has improved.  But if your tour bus stops at a Cracker Barrel and you ask what the "vegetable of the day" is, the answer may still be "macaroni and cheese".  (True story!)

What I was referring to is the issue of avoiding Covid.  Nobody can afford to get sick while on tour with such a large group of people so hopefully the tour and all participants will be taking the proper precautions.  It seems like every traveling production is dealing with this differently so just be careful.

The other thing to watch for, IMO, since it's a collection of 80s bands, is drug and alcohol trouble.  I'm sure several of the original surviving participants will have been through rehab of some sort or another.  But it's tricky to stay on the wagon if during your heyday you did the opposite - and now here you are touring again with some of your same original troublemakers.  Ha!  No shade on these folks, not everybody had those problems and I congratulate those who did for getting through it.  Just hope everybody behaves and can keep it together.

Thanks Jimmy, the original post with all the dates was showing the 2022 shows, something I didn't notice  at the time,  so that's probably why you saw all those dates.
I know what you mean about those 80's bands.  On that topic I have been told numerous times that i am a rarity amongst reggae musicians as having never delved into the weed or any other non prescription drugs nor been a drinker either for that matter. I'm quite proud of that. I have seen some interesting things happen back stage when people delved into substances at festivals. But as they say, what happens on the road, stays on the road. ;-)
