I'm doing a gig with my NotStrictlyJazz Quartet on 12th March at the Jam House in Birmingham.
They have the listing wrong on two counts.
1) I'm playing bass contrary to the picture on the listing
2) It's a night of classic Jazz funk not (dreadbeat and jazz)
Minor detail but hey.

I have a gig this weekend 25/05/2019 with Musical Youth. We are doing a joint gig with a Bob Marley Tribute band.
This should be interesting as we have Three Bob Marley tracks in our set list.

My gig this weekend is a festival one at the Readipop Festival in Reading with Musical Youth.

We are scheduled to be on stage about 14:00 and since it's a big event, it's just the right venue for some series I bass vibes.

Sounds like a good time Jazzy, regardless of which Alembic you're carrying. (I hate the gig-day decision-making) The 14:00 scheduled time surprised me though... do Brits often use the 24-hour clock? We use it at work, so it's natural to me, but confuses the daylights (pun intended) out of many over here unfamiliar with the concept.  :D

Well I think a lot of people use it here when writing the time down but not in speech. I would for example still say "2 o'clock in the afternoon" but still write down 14:00 or "2 o'clock in the morning and write down 02:00.
Just way we were taught at school when things went metric over here to comply with European standards. However we still use miles on the road signs and pints for beer. So we use a mix.

In Brazil we always use the 24 hour system, to me is confusing having to specify if it is morning or afternoon, but these are just local preferences (we doesn't care on how long is king's thumb or foot, either)...
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

I got used to the 24 hour system when I lived in Japan (but still had to think about it sometimes like when it was 21:00) - haven't thought about it in a long time because I haven't been back to Japan in several years.

JV - I also like how you play enough gigs that you have separate threads by year! I'm lucky to play one gig a year!
