I'm looking forward to this year's development of my Dreadbeat & Jazz Project. The buzz I'm getting on social media and  friends around the city indicates a good turn out. I hope they are right. We did the project live last  year at the Birmingham Symphony hall Cafe barr and it was a packed gig. http://www.thejamhouse.com/birmingham/live-music/event/4523/jazzlines-presents-delano-mills--february-2018.htm

Sounds like an interesting project, Jazzy... looking forward to the report.  ;)

Seems like the venue thinks my bass is more important to show than my face as the band leader.

Well I think my face is likely to have scared more people than my bass so maybe that was a good strategy. We got a good crowd so I guess it worked. :-)

Sounds like a great concept for a night of music, good to hear you got a nice turnout, hope it went as expected musically. Definitely an odd photo choice. What is the difference between "keyboards" and "reggae keyboards" in the musician credits?

In the context of that gig one keyboard player did all the jazz parts and the other did what is a rhythmic technique used by reggae keyboard players playing usually an organ sound. Its called the bubble. Listen to the guy playing the organ.

Sounds appropriate that the "Not Strictly Jazz" band plays the "Mostly Jazz" festival.

Depping on bass for a band called Hope & Glory http://www.hope-and-glory.com at The rhythms of the world festival in Hitchin, Hertfordshire this coming weekend 11th August 2018   http://www.rotw.uk/what-is-rhythms-of-the-world/

It's one of those late notice dep's with 26 tracks about 8 of which I've played before in other bands. some i've head before, others  are completely new to me but no rehearsal and only one other person in the band I have depped on a gig with before.  A perfect recipe for success .....Should be fun!!!.
