Thanks Wolf - sometimes it's a challenge which I can usually overcome by isolating out the bass line and working it til I can play it in my sleep, but other times the two parts are really tough together. As an example, the vocal chorus to Rikki is at odds with the bass line where I sing Rikki Don't Lose that Number and you can hear me pull of the vocal.  Now that I know that, I'm working harder on muscle memory for the bass line.  I notice Sting plays simpler bass lines live!
