Just thought it was time to move the discussion off of the old thread.  When we last left the previous thread, Ken was pointing out that May 12th is Mother's Day.  Probably not the best date for the gathering.

Hmm... Now I'm regrouping to possibly April 6 or 7. Any thought thoughts for those dates?

April 6 = bad
April 7 = ok - can't get there til around 2 but that's par for the course for me!

I think later in May or early June would be better.

April 7 works for me.  (2 days before my B-day!).

If pushing it back around mid June turns to be an option, that'd be perfect for me.

By mid June that part of rough road will be nicely dried out as well and less likely to get stuck in or rip out parts from  the bottom of a vehicle.

I've never found the road up to the ranch to be muddy or soft at any time of year.  We've traditionally held this event in the spring, as I recall, and I don't remember the road ever being muddy.  By June it could get quite warm, though.

I was just concerned about wetness combined with the unevenness such as the erosion and holes of the road. My car does not really have any  high ground clearance and came close to scraping as I remember in one part. You guys can plan when ever it works for you . This was just my 2 cents ... ... ... LOL !

              Thanks , my old stock Eldorado is a bit low although I got up there twice before. My old truck might be inappropriate as well. I might take you up on your generous offer this time depending on the variables. I think this will be my 3rd Alembic Gathering  in attendance.

I'm OK with the April dates. I think if it gets too much later we will have the problem of it being really hot. The one year we had it at the end of June was pretty bad.

So, is Apr 7th the final date?

Geez, I'd love to make it, but that weekend is a little nuts. It starts out with the MPRE (Bill know about this one) and then I don my recording engineer hat and am doing a remote multitrack of a very diverse music festival. You West Coasters have all the fun. I might have a gig out there at the Great American Music Hall in May (although there's some confusion as to 2013 or 2014), so be prepared to party!

Saturdays are better for me then Sundays .
