Dave,
I posted this above,  http://www.illinoistollway.com/portal/page?_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&_pageid=133,1495185
. It is a link to the Illinois tollway rates page.

As was suggested I would take the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) to I-90.

I-355 is new since I lived and last drove up here. I would consider taking I-294 to I-80 to I-355 to I-90 since this might avoid some of the inevitable road work on I-294. It should also miss some of the road work going on with I-90 (I ran into this going from O'Hare to St. Charles). Some of the local folks should be able to validate this as a good idea or not.

Dave:

Are you staying at the Day's Inn? I land at O'Hare tomorrow (Friday) night at 11:33 p.m., then picking up a rental and driving out to the Day's Inn.  Of course I'll be on West Coast time, so it won't be so late for me.  If you're arriving late and want to hang out and wind down, let me know and I'll email you my cell.

The Texans have landed, too late to close the borders!

We're headed to the Cubs game this afternoon then chillin out for the rest of the day.

Christian, if you're out there give Olie a call. Still on for tonight?

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Last night was not a good night, and I'm still not well.  So, I can't make the trip.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time together!

I'm sorry to hear that Dave. Let's hope you're fit and well soon.

Hopefully this isnt too late for those driving in.
They've started nightime construction on Il-53 north of I-90 (after 7pm)..but it shouldn't be to bad at that time of day. Also they're predicting rain for this evening (Friday) so that should add to your driving pleasure.

Just saw Dave's post.  :-(   bbwwwaaaaaahhhhh.  Bummer, dude.  But better to stay home and get healthy than try and drive 650 miles straight through while under the weather.  You'll be missed Dave.  Perhaps the Bay Area next month?  Airfares are cheap right now.

We just heard about this at Cremer Guitarworks in North Aurora, IL, and we're planning on trying to get #78-995 there. ---  Juel Ulven & Rick Cremer

Hi, everybody,

I came into town safe and sound yesterday, everything is okay. Mike, Olie, we will hang out tonite after the game, for sure.

I also hope that Susan is getting well soon, and that also Dave is recovering quickly. All the best from me...

The site at Day's Inn Barrington is a paradise spot. Right around the corner is Clarke's bakery for a good European breakfast (he was born and raised in Ireland, he reported), we have the Barrington cellars just across the street for all kind of beverages, and then the is Sergio's Pizza right next to the Cellars to hang out at night...

Not the great big world like Downtown CHI, but I really loved it

Chalie: sorry to hear that you cannot make it either, I would have loved to meet you...

Many greetings to all from out of Barrington Public Library,

your Christian

Ha, Juel,

that would be too cool... I have toyed with the idea of bringing the imfamous double-neck with me that John Judge designed and had Alembic built in 1978, but my concerns were too big. I have no instrument with me, guess that means, I will be hanging out in front of the building...

I'm bringing an extra bass (non-Alembic:-() and a couple guitar stands.

Sorry to hear that you can't make it, Dave. Get well real soon!
You're a very important part of the vibe at the forum and you touch us all.
I'm of to jam with Andrew this afternoon, then we'll be caravaning up tomorrow morning, whee!
Go Cubs! (and Bears - my real weakness)

Spoke to Bag End today. They said they have everything we need from an amp/cab standpoint. So if you were planning on hauling your rig...you don't have to. I'm glad. My Orange head is heavy as hell.

Excellent.  I'm bringing the Series 1.5, a couple of stands and possibly the G&L...

Terribly sorry you're not making the trip, Dave, and hope you feel better soon.
