I am 90% sure I can make it.

Great idea Keavin and awesome picture.

Can anyone host someone from out of town?  Friday and Saturday nights, I'd expect.

Keavin - I probably wouldn't be too interested in doing this if it wasn't for Paul(TBO).

The out pouring of compassion and unpretentious words of kindness that came after his passing makes me proud to be apart of this community. To have an opportunity to share some face time with people from here is not something to be taken for granted.

This will be good!

I will try to make it with my Series I.  I will try harder if there's a bass with ebony neck lams to try

I'll ask my drummer Andrew tonight if he wants to come play for 6 hours (?)

Mighty foin work there m'boy!

I know a couple of drummers that might be able to help out.  Say the word and I'll ask.
The only thing that stays the same is change.

In response to popular request, I will bring the 36 five string with three ebony lams (SII electronics).  I think it has well over TEN FEET of ebony lams (when you consider the full length).  Lift your weights everyone.

And, of course, the new QCB.  And, even though it won't win the Earliest Piece Award (Keavin, hope you really are coming), there is some serious karma in 74-59.

Only question I have is--if we're honoring Brother Paul, what are we drinking?

Hey Roger,
I'm willing to bet Andrew won't really want to drum for 6 hours (Duh!), so alternate stick-twiddlers will be an option. I just don't know how much space/ time/ talent we've got coming. How big is our guest list? I've also got interest from Noah G and Gary B as well in attending...

I know Mica is keeping the list, but my read of the buzz is that we'll have a big turnout.  While I know the jamming is only one aspect of the fest, it would be good to know how many non-bassists we have, so that we can make sure the music works.  Couple (or more) drummers would be good, as would having enough guitarists to make a lot of music.

I am prepared to book my flight for this gathering folks. I just want to comfirm the date, Saturday May 30th.

Thanks, OO

David Houck

Olie; Saturday May 30 is indeed the correct date.

olieoliver

Thanks Dave, I'll be there for sure. I won't have any of my basses with since I am flying in, hope that's cool with everyone.

I was hoping I could score some tickets to the Cubs afternoon game on Friday the 29th but they only have single seats left. Anyone in ther are, (..ahem.... Keavin)have any idea where I may be able to get 2 seats together at a reasonable price?

olieoliver
