I answer to either one, Mario. ;)  ('Edward' is an old family name, usually assigned to eldest male children... if my Mom calls me that in a certain tone of voice, it usually means I'm in trouble!)

Oh, yes, we've all heard that mom's "you're in trouble mister" tone once... ha!
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

Here is a picture from the same gig as the picture I posted 9 up from here. It has a better pic of the guitar.

I've just been setting up a new hard drive to hold all my media files and stumbled across this golden oldie from about 2006. I had not long got this Europa and I think this was my first gig with it. My naive self decided to covered Marcus Miller's version of Frankenstein because I loved the original version by I think Edgar Winter and also it pushed me in my learning to slap and double thumb. Quite a raw sound from the band compared to our current sound and a lot more grey hair too.

My band The Morgan Hillbillies,  played The Granada Theater in Morgan Hill CA Saturday night as part of St. Catherine's school Cougar Gala Auction.  We had fun!

And video!  I'm still getting used to the "muscle memory" of this bass so one small flub while singing and playing at the same time, but I don't think anyone noticed.  Walking bass solo too!

I was running into a DarkGlass Hyper Luminal Compressor > Bergantino B|Amp>Bergantino HG410 (the sealed cab with 3 forward and 1 back firing speakers).  Very happy with the sound.  Oh, and TI Jazz Flat strings - my favorite flats (run them on my Epic 5 fretless too).

The tone on that beautiful bass is fabulous, cuts through the mix very nicely.  8)

HDFixer, that's a beautiful bass, nice video!
The bass player's function, along with the drums, is to be the engine that drives the car... everything else is merely colours.

I was practicing with some friends the other day, saw this on the wall. Iconic.

Excellent, Jack. #80-1687 is right at home there.  8)  Sounds like you are making the most of some practice time during a lull in touring.

pauldo

Jack that sounded great!
What are you using for the distortion?

Thanks a lot Edwarldo! And yea, my touring has been postponed until mid May but who knows if the gigs in May will happen?  :-[
