I was confused because I recall you played fretless and fretted Essence 5's (as I do). I assume the Elan 5 w/ Signature is a new-ish acquisition? It sounds really round and warm in this clip - perfect for the material. I've always felt that MarkBass and Alembics are a good pairing. Sounds great!

There is a lot of versatility in the Signature package. I often go back and forth over which I like more - that or the Rogue electronics.

I've actually had the Elan the longest, and it gets the most stage time for me. It came to me "well loved" and I don't worry about it getting bumped or dinged as much as I do my Essences. That first cut is always the deepest!

I usually have both filters wide open, or close to it, with the pan leaning a bit to the front pickup. I also use a Yamaha NE-1 parametric EQ, which really warms up the tone.
