Ahh, the enigmatic "FS" purpleheart Series bass makes an appearance, and with the new Minotaur strap I see. ;)

That bass has always been one of my favorites Rob. I love the elegant simplicity. Looks like you guys are having fun up there. :)

and +1 on the TI strings... I love 'em on my Alembics too.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm really enjoying playing my Series more often these days. The strap is actually an Italia. I've never tried a Minotaur, but I hear great things about them.

Let's keep the pictures going!

Been a while (4 years) since I have posted in this thread. So here goes.  This is actually from a couple years ago. We were doing the pre-show party for Monster Truck Jam at Ford Field in Detroit.

This is not a very good picture, but it is one of the rare photos taken with 87 4431.  Stanley's old bass.  It was at a benefit concert held at the Majestic (or Magic Stick, it doubled as a pool hall) in Detroit.  My younger son Justin also played the same bass that night.  Then he met Stanley after one of Stanley's concerts at the same venue.  He was able to tell Stanley that he had played one of his basses on the same stage before Stanley did.  I, unfortunately, was on a plane to Geneva at the time of the concert.

What a great shot of Justin! He's going to treasure that moment.

Here is a photo from my gig with Musical Youth on Friday night at a CamperJam2016, Weston Park.
My reggae bass, signature electronics in an all maple bodied Europa bass, was holding down some powerful, tight and punchy bottom end that night.

The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!
