I bought this in April and I cannot keep it. It's a really, truly beautiful bass and it is mint/as-new. The body is Black Walnut, Paduak, and mahogany, and the neck is Sapele, Paduak, and Ebony. It has a Bartolini 2J Squared pickup with a custom wood cover. I swapped out the non-detented bass/mid/treble pots for some equally high-quality detented ones and I replaced the active/passive switch with a custom mid-frequency rotary selector switch that allows you to pick any of nine mid-frequencies (250/450/500/680/840/1050/1240 and two others in the middle of those that I don't remember off-hand, but have written down at home...). Bass will come shipped in a brand-new Mono gig bag with all original parts, accessories, etc.

The ideal situation would be a trade + cash situation. I'd love to have a nice 4-string Spoiler, and am most open to other 32" medium, or short-scale, Alembic basses. There are currently two 5-string Hilton Workhorse basses on Reverb from the same great seller who got me this custom one, if you're looking for an idea of their price.

Definitely reach out and let me know your thoughts!

Hi! Yes - it's a fantastic bass. Are you interested in a trade?

OJ Dorson

Thanks all - this one was traded for a 36" fretted Hilton 5 string.

Nice, do you have pictures? Of the 36"?
Would love to see.
